I'll spare you all the details of the REAL beginning. Suffice it to say my moms picked a winner, and that's when my life in utero started.
Nine months later, I emerged -- all 9 pounds, 2 ounces and 21.5 inches of me. That's right, I have already embraced the "Go big or go home" motto. Mama (Bess) first said she didn't want to get the epidural, then she did, then oops---I was already on my way out! The entire labor was only a few hours long, and I spent just a few minutes in the birth canal. I think that's why my face wasn't too squished when I got out.
We spent two (long) nights in the hospital, where they poked and prodded me, but generally made sure I was happy and comfortable. I had lots of visitors in those first couple of days, including my Auntie Lu, my Uncle Ben, my Grandma Judy and Grandpa David. They all came to see me on my very first day in the world.
The next day I had visits from God Papa Kyle and my AP. Then Erik and Sandie came, and even brought gifts for me and for my moms! Kyle (Zippy) and Connie brought me a super cool gloworm that helps me go to sleep.
I finally got to go home, but not before my moms had an epic battle with the car seat. Whoa! What an ordeal! Thankfully, the moms won.
I got home and met my dog, Kai, who I think really likes me. It was good to be home!
