Apparently my moms aren't too tech savvy, and it has taken them this long to figure out how to actually post something to the blog. They seem to think everyone is most interested in photos, but I tend to be kind of verbose myself, so I'll insert some prose to accompany the photos.
My moms have promised to be more on top of this blog thing, but for now I'll just have to recap the first few weeks of my life. I have to say, life is good! Allegedly a lot of people have come to see me, but I can't really tell the difference among them---all I know is that I keep getting passed around A LOT. So long as all these so-called "visitors" end up sticking around to babysit me once in awhile, I think it's ok. Below are pics of me with (from left to right) Doula Felicia, Great Uncle Paul, Ms. Abby (she didn't want to let me go!), Doula Candice, Whitney (Mama's good friend from high school), Doula Cindy, Nuwanda (aka Elli---she and Mama have known each other for almost 30 years!), Auntie Dolly (at least that's what she'd like us to believe her name is), Krisana (my personal lawyer), and Petey-Pete (I hope I grow up to be like him).
So far I've had my first restaurant experience (or so I've been told; I slept through the whole thing), celebrated Father's Day with my Grandpa David and my Great Uncle Paul, gone to lunch with Mama's co-workers, spat up, peed on my moms, had a visit from another baby (finally!---thank Aaron!), learned that I really love the rattle, the boob, and this really super soft blanket Karen Opp gave me. I also like to stay fashionable, although apparently I've already outgrown some of my clothes (this kind of freaks my moms out). I've been gaining weight like a champ, and am now over ten pounds! I'm super tall, which my moms tell me means I'm going to be a great swimmer. I do love the water!
On the horizon... my first Gay Pride weekend in San Francisco, celebrating Great Uncle Paul's birthday, a trip to visit my Great Grandma, and more tummy time. I'm also hoping to hang with some people who are more in my "peer group," including little man Eli, sweet Zoe (who's a little older than I am, but I think we can work with that), twins Kieran and Jasper, another visit from baby Aaron, and maybe even a visit from my cousin, Alex! I'll keep you all posted...
