oh, the juxtaposition of this post and the last----first I wax poetic about the ladies, and now I spend an entire week chilling with the boys!
This week has been full of milestones---my first hang with mama's college friends and their boys, my first SMILE!!, my first chance to wish Mama a happy birthday.
Let me break it down for you...
First I had a visit from Mama's friend, Hoddy, and the Nuz (who is really Mit V, but it's way easier to just call him the Nuz). WOW! The Nuz is a BIG BOY! I don't think I'll ever be that big! The Nuz is off the charts! Here he is checking me out:
Next was a rendez vous with Mama's friends from college, Booter (aka Anne) and Janet. I've hung out with Booter and baby Aaron before, but this was my first encounter with Janet and her twin boys, Kieran and Jasper. I can't wait until we're older and we can get into all KINDS of trouble! The last time I saw these ladies and their little guys, we were still tucked away in our mommies' bellies. This time we all got to hang out, spit up, cry, and get our diapers changed en masse. Awesome. The moms all rowed together in college, so I think they're probably going to be able to take us on, but we will see...

After the testosterone fest, it was birthday time! Lots of birthdays to celebrate, including Grandpa David's and Mama's. We celebrated those birthdays together down in Palo Alto, which was cool because I got to hang with the men in the family (I told you this week was all about the boys!). Here I am with my Grandpa David and my Great Uncle Paul:
Mommy (Camille) and I made sure Mama's birthday was extra special. We got a big banner to hang in the house, some yummy cupcakes, a kite (Mama has always wanted one), and a really pretty ring. Mama really wanted to go on a hike on her birthday, so we packed everything in the car (except the dog, Kai---she wasn't allowed) and headed to the Marin Headlands. WOW! I mean, I know I couldn't see much from my little covered position in the ergo baby carrier, but the couple of glimpses I got took my breath away. I'll be back...
Stay tuned for a re-cap of my first road trip!!
