My whirlwind tour of the east coast

Just when I've settled into my east coast digs, it's time to head back to California! I've loved my time here, despite this horrible thing called humidity. Thank goodness for air conditioning. Seriously, people, I'm one hot mess when we go outside!

To be honest, much of my time here has been a blur, especially since I've slacked off on posting to my blog. You must remember that I'm technically on VACATION here!

So in somewhat random order, here are the happenings of late... a trip to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens with my Grandpa Walter and my Nana Linda (and my moms, OF COURSE!); a pretty darn awesome family picnic with the Gonzalez clan (I do love me a Sunday afternoon with the Puerto Ricans!); a visit from my boy, Solomon, and his parents (his daddy, Bertrall, seems to think I need a black daddy in my life, and has volunteered himself for the role. I'm not so sure about this....); dinners with various folks including Uncle J, Aunt Dolly, Emilie and Hannah (I really loved falling asleep in Emilie's arms); a visit from Sarah Wenk (Mama's old neighbor in Brooklyn and Mommy's triathlon training friend---this was a total coincidence, fyi); and a special visit from our friends from upstate, Klempie, Cheech, and Eutaw (p.s. only one of those is the real name....bet you can't guess which one it is!!). Anyway, further commentary provided in the photo captions. I've been told that having such a long block of text can bore my readers, whoever you are.

Coming up, my last week on the east coast, including visits with old friends and new babies...

This is me hanging out with my cousin, Myra, at the Gonzalez family picnic. She pretty much loves me. I don't blame her.
That's my Aunt Nini with my cousin, Zackary. They're just chilling at the Puerto Rican family picnic. Go Ricans!!!
Chilling out with my Great Titi Gloria. We traded stories about the good old days.

I was really taking it all in at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens.
My Nana Linda and my mommy look almost exactly alike!
Here I am with Grandpa Walter, Mommy, and Nana Linda. Good times.

That's me and my new friend, Solomon. Solomon arrived with his parents, Joy and Bertrall. They are Mama's friends from law school. Bertrall wants to be my black daddy. I'm not so sure I need a daddy, let alone a black daddy. I'll let Bertrall know I've taken his request under consideration.

Gratuitous shot with my Aunt Munch.

Grandpa Walter is trying to talk me into going to get a brewski with him. I'm a bit skeptical...

Hannah and Emilie. Practicing. ;-)
Sometimes I shock the pants off people, like Aunt Dolly. I may have just peed on her.
Boy, Uncle J, that sure is a BIG smile!

I'm usually a pretty mellow guy, but every now and then a boy's gotta get his crying on! Unfortunately for Sarah, I chose just the moment when she picked me up. Oops!

That's my Mama hanging out with Cheech. Cheech is going to be the boss of me someday.
I'm the low man on the totem pole, clearly. Cheech and Eutaw tried to double team me right off the couch!
That's me and Klempie. She's a bad ass.
First Eutaw tried to come after me.
Then Eutaw tried to hold my hand. Ummm....Eutaw, I don't think we're ready for that step yet. Maybe you can take some time to get to know me a little better before you start putting the moves on me. Seriously.

Gratuitous shot of me because, well...why not?! It is MY blog, afterall!
